THE SPINNER

PLOT:


It tells the story of a poor miller who gave the king his beautiful daughter because he haven’t how paying his taxes, saying to the king  that she could make gold thread with straw.
Suddenly she met a little man who was the one who could turn straw into gold, but instead she had to give him all her belongings, when he haven’t more to give, the little man said that when she got married she will have to give him the first child in order to pay him for all. The queen said that she wasn’t going to do, but the little man said her: "I give you three days to guess my name, If you can’t, I'll take your daughter”.

CHARACTERS:

·         THE MILLER:  Queen’s father.

·         GIRL (QUEEN): The main character of the story.

·         KING: The owner of the kingdom.

·         THE LITTLE MAN: Who turned straw into gold.


SETTING:

Everything happens on the kingdom where the queen, the king and the little man were.

LITERATURE EDUCATES THE WHOLE PERSON. BY EXAMINING VALUES IN LITERARY TEXTS.
 

The childhood  becomes in that society in which we can intercede, we can help, we can change, and is  the new generation that we must educate, because it is the only who can do a better world, and for it  the best tool as teachers is the promotion of literature.
Literature is used because I think it is a useful and efficient vehicle for build humans that will be a better world, where there is a teaching on values, which provides a change in behavior, which interprets reality and the most important is allows that the child is able to reconsider when reading a text.
In this literature show an ideal of peace, is interpreted the reality in a different form, and is here where it leaves behind the reject to the environment, racism, abuse against the few, and it doing interpretation more accurate of the world that we can change.

So as teachers we need to know what is the process of receiving values that children are doing when they read a text, in order to establish orientation on the selection of readings, help them schedule their time reading, introduced writing and drawings tools, which may provide elements of reflection to stimulate their personal and social development. To generate a real change in school!!
